LIFE HAPPENS HERE!

Life has never been this uncertain and complicated! 

   I've often been struck by long queues of commuters waiting for a jeepney ride, with a "hard" look on their faces, as though worrying how to survive until the next school day. 

    Just a stone's throw away from the University, the usual sight of young men and women working, absorbed in smoking, chatting, texting, and listening to their I-pods, makes me wonder why life has become so complicated. 

    Being in this University, I feel a sense of security, and peace; conscious that I am standing not merely on an ordinary ground, but on a holy and sacred sanctuary for learning.  Our University maxim Ciencia Y Virtud is profoundly shown on every students humble deeds.  From the humble beginnings of the cornerstone laying to the construction of a small school building, and the growing number of members of the Escolarian Association, as well as the students, attest to God's masterful plan to use our University founder to sow seeds of JOY, LIFE and HOPE in our school and the surrounding community.

    As an Escolarian, it is therefore a big challenge to be able to nurture seeds through our work of selfless dedication and perseverance in our studies.  Our toils may seem endless, but through acts of faith, we can slowly see the fruits of our labor.  Thank God and to my beloved University we become more conscious of our responsibilities to nurture in our hearts the seeds of JOY to others, of CARING for our environment, and of imparting HOPE to those in need. We are reminded that in the midst of life's hardships, we can still experience as one community this spirit of JOY, LIFE, and HOPE. 

   

    I thank the Almighty God for allowing me to be one of the students to bear fruit in this far Northern corner of Bulacan.  The seeds that have been long planted on good soil have grown sturdy roots.  Having withstood the test of time, it has now yielded fruit - our beloved school, which through Centro Escolar University mission as well as its vision will continue to radiate JOY, LIFE, and HOPE to our community and to all its surrounding communities.
